Operator-Valued Monotone Convolution Semigroups and an Extension of the Bercovici-Pata Bijection

چکیده
In a 1999 paper, Bercovici and Pata showed that a natural bijection between the classically, free and Boolean infinitely divisible measures held at the level of limit theorems of triangular arrays. This result was extended to include monotone convolution by the authors in [AW14]. In recent years, operator-valued versions of free, Boolean and monotone probability have also been developed. Belinschi, Popa and Vinnikov showed that the Bercovici-Pata bijection holds for the operator-valued versions of free and Boolean probability. In this article, we extend the bijection to include monotone probability theory even in the operator-valued case. To prove this result, we develop the general theory of composition semigroups of noncommutative functions and largely recapture Berkson and Porta’s classical results on composition semigroups of complex functions in operator-valued setting. As a byproduct, we deduce that operator-valued monotonically infinitely divisible distributions belong to monotone convolution semigroups. Finally, in the appendix, we extend the result of the second author on the classification of Cauchy transforms for non-commutative distributions to the Cauchy transforms associated to more general completely positive maps. 2010 Mathematics Subject Classification: Primary 46L53; Secondary 30D05, 47D06, 60E07 1The first author was supported in part by NSF grant DMS-1160849. η-series and a Boolean Bercovici–Pata bijection for bounded k-tuples
Let Dc(k) be the space of (non-commutative) distributions of k-tuples of selfadjoint elements in a C∗-probability space. On Dc(k) one has an operation ⊞ of free additive convolution, and one can consider the subspace Dinf-div c (k) of distributions which are infinitely divisible with respect to this operation. The linearizing transform for ⊞ is the R-transform (one has Rμ⊞ν = Rμ +Rν , ∀ μ, ν ∈ ...
متن کاملMultiplicative Monotone Convolutions
Recently, Bercovici has introduced multiplicative convolutions based on Muraki’s monotone independence and shown that these convolution of probability measures correspond to the composition of some function of their Cauchy transforms. We provide a new proof of this fact based on the combinatorics of moments. We also give a new characterisation of the probability measures that can be embedded in...
متن کاملFree Generalized Gamma Convolutions
The so-called Bercovici-Pata bijection maps the set of classical infinitely divisible laws to the set of free infinitely divisible laws. The purpose of this work is to study the free infinitely divisible laws corresponding to the classical Generalized Gamma Convolutions (GGC). Characterizations of their free cumulant transforms are derived as well as free integral representations with respect t...
متن کاملCovariation representations for Hermitian Lévy process ensembles of free infinitely divisible distributions
It is known that the so-called Bercovici-Pata bijection can be explained in terms of certain Hermitian random matrix ensembles (Md)d≥1 whose asymptotic spectral distributions are free infinitely divisible. We investigate Hermitian Lévy processes with jumps of rank one associated to these random matrix ensembles introduced in [6] and [10]. A sample path approximation by covariation processes for...
متن کاملA Class of nonlinear $(A,eta)$-monotone operator inclusion problems with iterative algorithm and fixed point theory
A new class of nonlinear set-valued variationalinclusions involving $(A,eta)$-monotone mappings in a Banachspace setting is introduced, and then based on the generalizedresolvent operator technique associated with$(A,eta)$-monotonicity, the existence and approximationsolvability of solutions using an iterative algorithm and fixedpint theory is investigated.
